Public Consultations and Information Sessions
The City of Prince George is inviting residents to see the design of the new downtown pool during two public information sessions at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre on Thursday, February 20.
The sessions will be held from noon to 2:00pm and from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with presentations by HDR Architects, the firm designing the new pool, at 12:30pm and 5:30pm. Representatives from HDR, the City of Prince George, and the construction management firm Chandos will be on-hand during the events to talk to residents and answer questions.
The events will include elements that will give residents a sense of the look and feel of the new pool, and present information about its features and the progress made so far:
• Drawings and perspectives showing the development of the pool project to-date
• Three dimensional images to allow viewers to “look around” inside the new facility
• Project timelines
The facility will replace the aging Four Seasons Leisure Pool. During a 2017 referendum, 62 percent of those who cast ballots elected to allow the City to borrow the funds necessary to build a new downtown pool. Learn more at princegeorge.ca/NewPool
