Public Consultations and Information Sessions
The City is hosting a public consultation as part of the Prince George City Council meeting on Monday, December 2 to receive feedback from the public on key issues, gaps, and the work that is needed to address social issues throughout Prince George with a focus on the downtown core.
The feedback gathered at the meeting will inform Council’s budget deliberations for 2020 as well as the City’s coordination with partners and other levels of government. The public meeting will begin in Council Chambers (2nd floor, City Hall, 1100 Patricia Blvd.) at 6:00pm.
Following information from the City, Prince George RCMP, and Northern Health, members of the public will be invited to present to Council. To ensure that everyone has a fair and equal opportunity to provide input to Council, there will be a 5 to 10-minute time limit. Following initial comments, Council will hear from persons wishing to speak for a second time to provide new information.
Written submissions are also being accepted. They can be emailed in advance to the City Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org or brought to the fifth floor of City Hall. Submissions will be accepted until noon on December 2. Any submissions received after this time will be collected and shared with Council the following day. All submissions will be added to the official record of the meeting.
Members of the public interested in City activities, projects, and news relating to the downtown can subscribe to receive updates from the City at princegeorge.ca/subscribe (select the “Downtown Projects” category) or visit princegeorge.ca/downtown.
