Public Consultations and Information Sessions
The City will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, May 15 to provide an update on the Community Wildfire Protection and Emergency Strategic Plan. Attend the Open House to learn about the plan and how residents can prepare for an emergency.
Learn about multiple aspects of the Community Wildfire Protection Plan and Emergency Strategic Plan, including:
• The risks to Prince George posed by wildfires.
• How the risks from wildfires can and are being reduced.
• How the City is preparing for possible wildfire emergencies.
• FireSmart activities that individuals and homeowners can use to prepare for wildfire emergencies and reduce the risk for their homes and properties.
The Open House will be held at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre (second floor) on May 15, from 11:00am until 8:00pm. Presentations will occur at 12 noon and 6:00pm. The BC Wildfire Service and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) will also be participating.
