Learn how to operate a wood stove efficiently and burn wood safely in your home. Hear hands-on tips how you can save money and time and how to reduce the impact of smoke from your wood-burning appliance.
Attend a free Burn It Smart! Wood Stove Workshop, facilitated by Wet Wood Energy Technicians of BC and hosted by the Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable, on Monday, March 11 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George Public Library.
Topics of the workshop include:
• Burning without smoke
• How to reduce smoke from your wood stove and lessen the impact on your family and neighbor’s health and the environment
• Planning and maintaining and a system
• Installation safety
• Wood heating options
• How to test moisture in firewood (bring a piece of firewood if you would like the workshop facilitators to test for moisture levels)
