The Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Pavilion is an expression of a partnership between the City of Prince George and the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. To celebrate its opening, four days of activities and events are planned, starting on National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) and continuing through to Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (June 24).
Everyone is welcome to enjoy music, public art, theatre, and storytelling in the spectacular environment of Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, near the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers. Events will be appropriate for children and families, aimed at fostering intercultural understanding and greater community pride.

Thursday, June 21
10:00am Pavilion Opening Ceremony

11:00am Lheidli T'enneh First Nation Partnership Agreements
Location: Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park Bandshell
Following the opening ceremony, the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation will be signing agreements with organisations starting at 11:00am.
12:00pm noon - 5:00pm National Indigenous Peoples Day

National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrates and honours the history, traditions, and diverse cultures of indigenous peoples. This annual community celebration is organized by representatives of the Lheidli T’enneh and local Indigenous community organizations.

Theatre for All Ages
"Blue Beads and Blueberries" is a Canadian play that tells the story of a princess who must use her wits, daring, and creativity to overcome challenges with ensuing hilarious and tender moments. The 45-minute play explores themes related to Indigenous knowledge and social responsibility.

Le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George and the Metis Community Association invite everyone to celebrate the francophone and Metis cultures, languages, and history. There will be activities for all ages including interactive and energetic performances by Franco-Canadian folk band, Folklofolie.
